Settings
Settings is the hub for managing your personal profile, account preferences, security options, email notifications, AI controls, billing access, and API keys in Drip Drop.
Open Settings
Open Settings from the dashboard to access the settings menu. The active tab stays highlighted so you can see which section you are editing. On staging, Settings uses its own left-hand menu inside the settings page.
- Available tabs in the current settings area are Profile, Account, Security, Notifications, AI, Billing, and API Keys.
Profile
- Update personal information and email address associated with your login.
- Use Change Password to update your password.
- Use Replay Tutorial to restart the guided dashboard tour.
- Delete Account is also in Profile. Treat it carefully because it permanently removes your account and associated data.
Account
Use the Account tab for account-wide preferences that affect how Drip Drop behaves for your workspace.
Timezone
- The Account tab shows a searchable Timezone selector and a Save button.
- Timezone controls how dates are displayed and how flows are scheduled by default, such as pausing until a future date and time.
- Individual flows can still override timezone behavior where Drip Drop supports that. The panel also shows your browser timezone for comparison.
Contact Deduplication
Use Settings → Account → Contact deduplication to choose how Drip Drop identifies a duplicate contact. The selected rule is applied when contacts are created, imported, or edited.
Choose the match rule that best fits your workspace:
- Email or phone match (recommended): treats a matching email address or phone number as a duplicate.
- Email match only: checks email addresses only.
- Phone match only: checks phone numbers only.
- Email and phone match: treats contacts as duplicates only when both values match. Contacts that are missing a phone number or email address are flagged as duplicates under the following circumstances
- Both contacts do not have phone numbers, but have matching email addresses
- Both contacts do not have email addresses, but have matching phone numbers
- Allow duplicates: allows multiple contacts with the same details.
Select a match rule, then choose Save.
If you change to a stricter rule and existing contacts conflict with it, Drip Drop will not save the change until those contacts are resolved. Go to Contacts → Duplicates to review the duplicate groups, edit incorrect details, or remove extra contacts. Then return to Account and save the rule again.
For help resolving records, see Contacts: Resolve Duplicate Contacts.
Security
- The status banner shows whether Two-Factor Authentication is enabled and how many methods are configured.
- Manage Authenticator Apps, Passkeys, Backup Codes, and Trusted Devices. Authenticator apps and passkeys can be added or removed from this tab.
- Generate or regenerate backup codes after MFA is enabled. Trusted devices are remembered for 30 days and can be removed when needed.
Notifications
Notifications controls which account email notifications you receive.
- Billing Alerts has a master toggle plus separate 80%, 90%, and 100% threshold toggles.
- Flow Error Alerts and Provider Error Alerts each have their own enable toggle.
- Error notifications are rate-limited to at most one notification per error type per hour.
AI
The AI tab controls whether AI-powered features are available for the account.
- Use Enable AI Integration to enable or disable all AI-powered features for this account.
- Disabling AI hides AI tools and options in the interface. Non-AI rule-based features may remain available because they are not controlled by this toggle.
Billing
The Billing tab shows the current plan, plan selection when no Stripe customer exists, a Manage Billing button when a Stripe customer exists, and usage against plan limits when the account has an active subscription.
- Use Current Plan to see whether the account has an active subscription or still needs to choose a plan.
- Use Manage Billing to open Stripe billing management when it is available, or choose a plan from the plan selection panel when it is not.
- Usage shows current resource usage across plan limits, including daily or monthly reset times when available.
API Keys
The API Keys tab manages access keys for Drip Drop’s public API.
- Use Create API Key to add a key with a required Key Name and optional Expiry Date.
- Existing active keys show their name, prefix, created date, and expiry date when one is set. Revoked keys appear separately.
- Copy the raw secret key value when it is created. If you lose it, create a new key instead of expecting Drip Drop to reveal the old secret again.
- Use Revoke to disable a key you no longer want to use. For broader API usage details and stable reference material, follow the Reference docs when available.
See API Keys and Public API for more information.
Troubleshooting
A settings panel does not load
Refresh the page and try again. If the issue continues, check whether the problem is isolated to one tab or affects the whole settings area.
Timezone or toggles do not seem to save
Reopen the tab and confirm the updated value persisted. For Account timezone, make sure you chose a timezone from the dropdown and clicked Save.
Security or MFA changes feel risky
Be careful before removing the last working authentication method or trusted device. Generate backup codes after MFA is enabled and store them somewhere safe.
An API key was lost after creation
If the raw key is no longer visible, create a new key and revoke the old one instead of expecting Drip Drop to reveal the old secret again.
