Getting Started

This guide will help you through your first Drip Drop setup.

You will move faster if you have these ready before you begin:

  • Access to the email address you use for your Drip Drop account.
  • Permission to create or manage the organization you will use for campaigns.
  • A plan or billing access if your workspace requires a subscription before setup.
  • Provider credentials for the first email or SMS provider you want to connect.
  • One test contact you can safely use for a first enrollment.
  1. Create your Drip Drop account, then sign in. If your account requires multi-factor authentication, complete the prompt before continuing.
  2. Go to the Drip Drop sign-up page and click Sign Up.
  3. Enter your First Name, Last Name, and Email address. Choose a Password and confirm it.
  4. Accept the terms of service and click Sign Up.
  5. You will be redirected to an email verification page. Check your inbox before continuing.

After signup, check your inbox for the verification email. Follow the verification link, then return to Drip Drop and sign in again if prompted.

Expected result: Your account is verified and you can continue into the dashboard or organization setup flow.

Choose the organization you want to use, or create one if this is your first workspace. The organization owns your campaigns, contacts, providers, settings, and billing context.

  • To create a new organization: Click Create an Organization, enter a name, and save.
  • To join an existing organization: Select it from the list. You must already have been added by the owner.

If you do not see the organization you expect, ask an owner or admin to confirm your access.

Before you can use the dashboard, Drip Drop requires you to select a plan. The plan selection screen blocks access to all other areas until you choose a plan and complete checkout.

  • Review the available plan cards shown on the plan selection screen.
  • Review included Contacts, Messages, Flows, Flow Runs, and Custom Fields limits.
  • Select the plan and complete checkout if required.

You can return to billing later from SettingsBilling.

See Billing and Plans for more information.

  3. Select the provider type you want to connect.
  4. Enter the provider credentials and required connector fields.
  5. Save the provider.

Expected result: The provider appears in the integrations list and is available when you configure matching flow blocks.

See Integrations and Admin for more information.

Add a test contact before enrolling anyone in a flow.

  1. Open Contacts.
  2. Choose Add Contact to add one contact manually, or Import Contacts to upload a CSV.
  3. For a first test, use a contact address or phone number you control.
  4. Save the contact.

Message Templates let you reuse message content inside flow blocks.

  1. Open Templates Message.
  2. Create an email template or a text message template.
  3. Give the template a clear internal name.
  4. Add simple test content that is safe to send to your test contact.
  5. Save the template.
Tip
Keep the first template simple. You can add more detailed personalization after confirming the first flow works end to end.

A flow defines the steps Drip Drop runs for enrolled contacts.

  1. Open Flows.
  2. Choose New Flow.
  3. Name the flow something clear.
  4. Create the flow, then open the flow editor.

Add a block to the flow

Use the flow editor to add the first action in your flow.

    1. Choose Add Block - The plus button in the toolbar.
    2. Choose a block type
    3. Configure the block fields in the modal or sidebar.
    4. Select the provider and template where the block requires them.

Warning: Use a test contact first. Do not enroll a production list until the flow sends the expected content and records the expected activity.

  1. Open the flow Enrollments area.
  2. Choose Enroll Contacts.
  3. Select your test contact.
  4. Confirm the enrollment.
  5. Navigate to the Settings tab and set the Flow status to Active. Save the settings.

After the test enrollment, review activity before sending to real contacts.

  • Open History. Look for a flow event or message event with status Success. If the flow has a Wait block, the first event may show Active rather than Completed until the wait period finishes.
  • Open Stats to confirm message counts incremented. Stats may take a moment to reflect recent activity.
  • Open the flow and click the History tab to see enrollment-level events for that specific flow.
Note
There are two places to look at event history. There is the History tab on the sidebar which will take you to the history of all your flows. The History tab inside of the Flow Editor will get you to the Flow History, the events of that specific flow.

See Flow History, History, and Stats for more information.

You are stuck in email verification
  • Confirm you are checking the same email address you used to sign up.
  • Check spam or quarantine folders.
  • Try signing in again after clicking the verification link.
You cannot see Admin

Admin is only available to the account owner. No other role or access level grants it. Ask the owner to perform admin tasks such as connecting providers.

You cannot choose a provider in a flow block
  • Confirm the provider was created in AdminIntegrations.
  • Confirm the provider supports the block type you are configuring, such as Email or Text Message.
You cannot enroll a contact
  • Confirm the contact exists in Contacts.
  • Confirm the flow is saved and has no blocking validation errors.
  • Use a test contact first so you can safely retry.
The flow editor shows errors
  • Open the validation or errors area.
  • Select the block named in the error.
  • Complete missing provider, template, timing, or condition fields, then save again.

After the first test works, continue with the deeper setup area that matches your next task.
