Flow Enrollments
An Enrollment is the name for one contact inside a specific flow. This page covers how to add contacts, read their current status, update enrollment details, and remove enrollments without deleting the contact itself.
Open Enrollments
- From the Flow Editor toolbar, click Enrollments (the icon looks like the outline of 2 people).
- From the flow modal, switch to the Enrollments tab.
Read the Stats
- The Enrollments view shows four summary cards: Total, Active, Completed, and Error.
- These cards summarize all enrollments that match the current flow and table filters. They are not limited to the rows currently visible on one page of the table.
- Use the cards to check the overall result, then filter the table to investigate the contacts behind a specific status.
Use the Enrollments Table
- The table shows: Contact, Status, Current Step, Tags, and Enrolled date.
- It also supports search, filtering, sorting, pagination, and optional custom-field columns.
- The default sort is newest enrolled first.
Understand Statuses
Not Started: The enrollment exists but has not started moving yet.
Active: The contact is currently progressing through the flow.
Paused: The enrollment is stopped for now.
Error: Something prevented the enrollment from progressing normally.
Completed: The contact reached the end of the flow.
Processing: Work is currently being processed.
Unsubscribed: The contact should no longer continue as a normal active recipient.
How Suppression Affects Enrollments
An enrollment can remain visible in a flow after the contact unsubscribes or receives a hard-bounce suppression.
DripDrop checks suppression when it is about to send a message. A suppressed contact does not receive later messages for that channel, even when the enrollment is still listed in the flow.
- Email addresses are matched case-insensitively for suppression checks.
- Email and SMS suppression are handled separately.
- Account compliance settings determine how active enrollments are handled after an unsubscribe or suppression event.
Use Admin->Compliance to review the account’s opt-out scope and enrollment-handling settings. Use Flow History to inspect what happened for a specific enrollment.
Enroll Existing Contacts
Click Enroll Contacts to open the selection modal. Search the available contacts, pick one or more, review the selected count, and submit the enrollment.
- The modal includes a Create New button if the person you need does not exist yet.
- If you select Contacts, the modal shows a selection summary and a Clear action.
Create a Contact While Enrolling
Create New opens the contact form in a nested modal. After the contact saves successfully, DripDrop refreshes the contact list so you can continue the enrollment workflow.
Already-Enrolled Contact Rules
The enrollment picker excludes contacts who are already enrolled in this flow with Not Started or Active status. In practice, that means some contacts may not appear even though they exist in Contacts.
Edit an Enrollment
Row edit opens the enrollment form. Confirmed editable fields are: Status, First Name, Last Name, Email Address, Phone Number, and any configured enrollment custom fields.
- The current edit form exposes status choices of Not Started, Active, and Pause.
Delete an Enrollment
Deleting an enrollment opens a confirmation modal. This removes the enrollment from the flow, but it is separate from deleting the contact record itself.
Troubleshooting
No contacts available
Either the account has no contacts yet or all eligible contacts are already enrolled.
Search returns nothing
Clear the search box or check spelling.
Contact has no usable channel
The edit or create form requires at least an email address or phone number.
Enroll button disabled
Select at least one contact first.
A record seems missing from the table
Clear search, status filters, or sort changes.
Enrollment stuck in Error or Processing
Inspect the flow configuration and the related flow history for the next clue.
