Dropbox

Connect Dropbox to store and reuse Drip Drop attachments and images in a Dropbox account you authorize. This guide explains the authorization flow and verification steps.

  • Your team already keeps attachments and images in Dropbox.
  • You want to authorize an existing Dropbox account instead of managing storage keys.
  • You want to reuse files that Dropbox users already maintain and share.
  • Confirm you can sign in to the Dropbox account you want to connect.
  • Be ready to approve the Dropbox authorization prompt in a popup window.
  • Confirm your role can create integrations. Without that permission, New Integration is not shown.
  1. Open Integrations → Storage.
  2. Select New Integration and choose Dropbox.
Choose Dropbox in the integration wizard.
  1. On the Connect step, review or change the Name before authorizing Dropbox.
  2. Select Connect Dropbox.
  3. In the Dropbox authorization window, sign in and approve every requested permission.
  4. Return to Drip Drop. The wizard advances to Verify after authorization succeeds.

Drip Drop stores new attachments in a folder named Drip Drop Attachments in the connected Dropbox account. The file picker can browse that Dropbox so you can select files one at a time. Drip Drop uses this access only for files you select and its own attachments folder.

Review the Dropbox connection details, then select Connect Dropbox.
  1. On the Verify step, select Check credentials.
  2. After the check succeeds, select Done.
  3. Confirm that the integration you named appears as Active on the Storage page.
  4. Open a message template, find the Attachments section, then select Browse files → Connected storage.
  5. Choose that integration and a Dropbox file, then select Attach.

On Integrations → Storage, find the paused Dropbox integration and select Edit. Select Reconnect, then authorize the same Dropbox account. To use a different Dropbox account, create a separate Dropbox integration.

The authorization popup does not complete
  • Allow popups for Drip Drop in your browser, then select Connect Dropbox again.
  • Sign in to the Dropbox account you intend to connect before approving access.
  • If Dropbox does not grant the required file permissions, connect again and approve every permission it asks for.
“Dropbox authorization expired” appears
  • Select Reconnect and authorize again.
  • Reconnect the same Dropbox account; connecting a different account leaves existing file references unresolvable.
A file is not available in the attachment library
  • Confirm the file still exists in Dropbox and has not been moved to the trash.
  • Confirm the connected account still has access. The owner can revoke files shared with the account.
  • Storage: choose and manage storage for Drip Drop attachments and images.
  • Message Templates: add stored files as attachments or use them as images in email designs.
